"My husband was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in May 2016 and subsequently underwent Radical Robotic Prostatectomy. Our Surgeon told us that my husband would suffer Erectile Dysfunction and said, “he has less than 50% chance of having any form of erection within two years of surgery”. At the age of 56 and about to “smell the roses” this, on top of the Prostate Cancer diagnosis, was very difficult to accept and we were determined to do something about it.
I do not know where we would be if we had not had our consultations with you Victoria - probably where sadly so many couples faced with this dreadful disease are! Wives who no longer have any form of sexual activity with their husbands. Husbands who are going through terrible de-masculinity issues and cannot communicate with their wives. Every time they have a pee - they are reminded of what they have lost.
With your guidance and support, we have built a new stronger sexual relationship and although it is different from the past, we have been on this journey together and feel closer and care even more about how each of us feel than before.
Although we are travelling okay - we both have bad days and I still sometimes wish it was just a bad dream. However, we love each other and we have embraced the “new” and encourage others faced with similar challenges to seek your help." - Heather, @prostatewife on Twitter.

Notes from Victoria :
1. Consultations are clothes on, no touching, conversation-led sessions. I will not ask you to do anything sexual during our session and there is no use of hypnosis or NLP. This is straight up, euphemism-free conversation informed by peer-reviewed journal articles, my PHD research findings and 5 years experience within the field of sexuality and healthcare.
2. This service is currently not offered as part of any rebate scheme. I have endeavoured to collect a network of trusted clinical psychologists and sex-literate GPs in Melbourne that I can refer you to if that is more appropriate for your situation.
