Bondage Restraints

Bondage restraints can add anticipation, vulnerability, control and a delicious sense of not being able to go anywhere. From soft cuffs and beginner-friendly restraint sets to rope, spreader bars, collars and more elaborate bondage gear, there are plenty of ways to explore restraint.

The right choice depends on the kind of play, experience level and how much restriction is wanted. At Passionfruit, we choose restraints for quality, comfort, function and secure design, with options for curious beginners through to experienced kinksters.

Consent, communication and a way to release restraints quickly should always be part of the plan.

Choosing Bondage Restraints

Bondage restraints come in many forms, and each creates a slightly different experience. Wrist and ankle cuffs are an easy place to begin, while rope and bondage tape allow more freedom to experiment with positioning. Under-bed restraint systems can turn an ordinary bed into a bondage setup without permanent fixtures, while spreader bars deliberately limit movement and create more exposed positions.

Cuffs, Rope or Bondage Tape?

Cuffs are quick to put on and remove, making them useful for both beginners and experienced players. Adjustable cuffs also make it easier to find a comfortable fit without placing unnecessary pressure on wrists or ankles.

Bondage rope offers far more possibilities, from simple wrist ties to decorative rope bondage and more advanced shibari. Rope skills take time to learn, and care should always be taken around circulation, nerves and joints.

Bondage tape is another simple option. Unlike ordinary adhesive tape, it sticks to itself rather than the skin, making it useful for improvised restraints and playful experimentation.

Bondage Safety

Restraint should restrict movement without restricting circulation or causing numbness, tingling or unexpected pain. Check in regularly, avoid placing pressure over vulnerable nerves and joints, and never leave a restrained person unattended.

For rope bondage and more complex ties, keep appropriate safety scissors nearby so restraints can be removed quickly if necessary.

Most importantly, bondage works best when everyone involved understands what has been agreed to, how communication will work during play and how to stop immediately when needed.
