Internal Toys

Internal sex toys are designed for vaginal stimulation, with shapes, textures and sensations to suit a wide range of bodies and preferences. Some are designed for targeted G-spot pressure, while others offer fullness, vibration, movement or a combination of sensations.

From simple non-vibrating toys and dildos to G-spot vibrators, rabbits and other internal vibrators, shape and size can matter just as much as power. Firmer, curved designs provide more focused pressure, while softer and more flexible toys offer more give.

At Passionfruit, we choose internal toys for body safe materials, thoughtful shapes, quality design and how comfortably they work with the body.

Choosing an Internal Sex Toy

Internal sex toys come in an enormous variety of shapes, sizes and styles. Choosing one is less about finding the toy with the most features and more about considering the sensations wanted, including fullness, pressure, vibration, movement or a combination.

G-Spot Toys

G-spot toys usually have a curved or angled shape designed to provide pressure against the front wall of the vagina. Firmer toys tend to create more focused pressure, while softer, flexible designs have more give and can feel less intense.

Some G-spot toys vibrate, while others rely entirely on shape and movement. A motor isn't essential for effective internal stimulation.

Internal Vibrators

Internal vibrators add vibration to penetration, but the location and quality of the motor make a difference. Some concentrate vibration towards the tip, while others carry it through more of the toy.

As with external vibrators, vibration can range from lighter and buzzier to deeper and more rumbly. More speeds and patterns don't necessarily mean a better vibrator.

Rabbit Vibrators and Dual Stimulation

Rabbit vibrators combine internal stimulation with an external arm designed to reach the clitoris. Because bodies vary, the proportions and flexibility of the toy are particularly important. The position of the external arm, shaft length and angle can determine whether a rabbit fits comfortably.

Some dual stimulation toys use conventional vibration externally, while others combine internal vibration with air pulse stimulation.

Dildos and Non-Vibrating Toys

Not every internal toy needs a motor. Dildos and other non-vibrating toys allow shape, texture, firmness and movement to provide the sensation.

Soft silicone offers flexibility and give, while firmer materials and shapes can provide more precise pressure. Size is personal too. A slim toy can provide plenty of sensation without a lot of fullness, while wider designs create a very different experience.

Size, Shape and Comfort

Length and width are worth considering separately when choosing an internal toy. Bigger isn't automatically better, and there's no reason to progress towards a larger toy unless greater fullness is actually wanted.

A tapered shape can make insertion more gradual, while curved designs can help direct pressure towards a particular area. A little water based lubricant can also reduce friction and make internal play more comfortable.

Internal Toys for Sensitive Bodies

For bodies experiencing vaginal dryness, sensitivity or discomfort, softer materials, slimmer dimensions and gentler vibration may be worth considering.

Changes associated with menopause, pelvic health conditions, medical treatment and other life stages can affect what feels comfortable. Persistent or unexplained pain with penetration is worth discussing with an appropriate health professional.

Finding the Right Internal Toy

There is no universally best internal sex toy. Anatomy, sensitivity and the kind of sensation being sought all matter more than trends or the number of functions on the box.

At Passionfruit, we've been helping people choose sex toys since 1998. We consider shape, proportions, materials, vibration quality, ergonomics and real world usability, with options ranging from simple first internal toys to more specialised designs.

Sometimes the shape does more work than the motor.
