Shorter whips are easier to wield than longer ones so technically the 45cm should be perfect for beginners. However, given its weight and plentiful leather straps, the short length it is more suited to an intermediate. The 58cm medium whip is well suited to the intermediate to advanced player and the long 70cm style is for advanced users only.

Remember, the longer the whip, the greater the impact. And the more difficult it is to land on the intended area.

Beginners should opt for a flogger that has a lighter weight, thicker tassels or is made of suede.
