Power & Play Exhibition: Thursday 8th–Sunday 18th October
Power & Play is a free exhibition of archival graphic design exploring the subversive power of the dominatrix and the colonised history of the cane - tracing how power, discipline, pleasure and resistance have been represented, controlled and reclaimed.
Curated by Dr Jane Connory, this queer and kinky dive into design history takes over the upstairs gallery at Passionfruit Sensuality Shop, 414 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, during Oz Kink Fest, from Thursday 8–Sunday 18 October.
Come upstairs and get acquainted with the exhibition, then settle in for a lively panel featuring some formidable members of Melbourne’s kink community: Mz Electra Amoré, Mistress Zoë Demure, Kitty Obsidian and Tiger Salmon.
Together they’ll get into the good stuff: power, pleasure, discipline, resistance - and who gets to wield the cane.
Entry to the exhibition is free.

Monday–Friday, 11am–7pm
Saturday–Sunday, 11am–3pm.
Opening night tickets are available now, with a series of workshops led by Mz Electra Amoré, Mistress Zoë Demure, Kitty Obsidian and Tiger Salmon going on sale Sunday 6 October.
